Autumnal Rowan
Rowans are beautiful trees which are surrounded by myths and legends. In Scandinavian myth the first woman was born from Rowan and the first man from Ash.
In Scotland Rowans are said to have magical and protective qualities. The cross beams of chimneys were often made of Rowan, and on Equinox and Solitice days Rowan sticks were laid across the lintels to reinforce beneficial qualities.
