The News is Good
Merlot is fine - according to the vet, the lump that we found is a small reaction to his injections that he had earlier in the month.....
So first thing we went out to meet June & Ron for coffee. As it happened June wasn't very well but Ron came anyway (see above). They were neighbours to Daph & Bill (Carol's Mum & Dad) and Ron used to keep an eye on Daph when Bill passed away. He has always kept in touch and we thought it was time to catch up. It was good too see him and enjoy some coffee & laughter. We met at the Goat Farm at Stoke Mandeville where.the coffee is really good.
We parted about 12 and went our separate ways. We had to deliver 2 Chistmas cards which C had forgotten & so so we stopped at S & M's to deliver it & they had already had one from us...in fact I had delivered it ...doh after much hilarity about that we finally got in after 1pm.
Lunch & snooze & then off to see the dreaded V E T. Merlot was not happy about getting in his carrier & it was several attempts later before we got him in & got there safely. Whilst at the vets we ran into Kev who was the previous owner of our house. .....20 + years ago !
Home then & Merlot is free & currently reclining on the sofa .....
Mild but with light rain making it a dark mucky old day.
Thank you all for your good wishes and Merlot says purr purr purr (which is cat speak for tah very much)
As always thanks for calling in and for leaving little stars and hearts for us here :-)
Ps Ron - the young feller above is 83. Looking good Ron !
