the innocence of apples
traditionally, apples are not a symbol of innocence. that whole adam and eve thing shed a bad light on apples. but these apples scream innocence to me. they're just hanging there. all bright. yellow and red.
i chose this photo because i have a new friend who astounds me with his innocence. he has not led an innocent life by any means, but he has an aura of child-like simplicity that warms my soul. he has many years of life on me, many experiences i couldn't fathom. but he feels young and fresh. he has endeared himself to me.
i went to "grune woche" with my german class today. i wouldnt say it was much about being "green." but it was enjoyable and i did enjoy excellent greek food, pistachio gelato, and belgium chocolate. so it was definitely worth it. i also enjoyed the company.
now i am enjoying a really good meal made by my wonderful, wonderful roommate. i am thankful for her.
i am thankful for stephanie, good food, red wine, and simple, simple innocence.
