Eagle Eyes

Am I the only twit who writes two sequels of War & Peace on a days journal, goes to the Tag or Map boxes and does something wrong whereby the entire masterpiece disappears in to the æther? I forgot to mention this at the last Blip questionnaire.

I haven't got the patience to do it all again, so here the précised version. .

1) No sign of electricityy company early morning.
2) Go for dog walk and see yet more mass of trees uprooted in the storm I didn't hear or see last Thursday which must be the cause of our partially knocked out electricity  (1 of 3 phases)
3) On way home spot electricity vehicles parked in the distance in a place which I think isn't going to help anyone.
4) Drive off in their direction but they disappear off the face of the world.
5) Depressed they have cleared off not finding anything.
6) Double check with neighbours if they have problems -as expected No.
7) By chance spot the crane truck and carry out road rage blocking manoeuvre.
8) Driver who is seemingly a fill in and know little, is able to calm me. The have found the problem down near the stream but can't drive on the wet boggy fields with the truck/crane. The van has gone back to Memmingen to get hand gear and if we are lucky they can free the problem. If not have to wait until next Ice Age and the ground freezes! (Temperature now rising daily for foreseeable future)
9) Thinking tree/branch on the line go home, walk across horse field to stream but cannot see anything untoward. The bird of prey on the wire pole ought not to be a threat!
10)Men in high vis´' walk across field with long pole, poke at wires and walk away 10 seconds later.
11) Kapo (foreman) very friendly, helpful and pleasant turns up and announces all fixed. Storm had simply whipped up the wires that they tangled in themselves and short circuited. The wires are so old and should be replaced by new insulated ones ..... but who wants to pay for 4 x 700m of cable for just one house, he added..
12) Hydraulic gate doesn't work against Sparky Stefan's prediction. I gave Angie the job of phoning the manufacturers as my complaint last year about the fine-wire fuse on their circuit boards fell on deaf ears and we are fed up with paying 140€ on average every second year when we have an insurance policy with 150€ excess!
13) Angie succeeds on getting them to agree to a free replacement and luckily just in time. They will ship tomorrow, their last working day this year.
14) PV working again and produced a magic 500W today about 2 cups of coffee and 30 minutes of PC use.
