lively funeral?

my niece and nephew climbed onto that bar to watch someone's funeral ceremony a few houses over. can't blame them for being curious. that funeral had a live-band playing loud music that can be heard quite clearly from our place. right now, they're having a karaoke session going on.

i only have a vague understanding of the funeral rituals here, but this live-band at a funeral business is not exactly normal for here either. it could've been mistaken for a wedding.

it's friday. i'm at Co Tu's house (dad's older sister) for the weekend.

today's happenings:
- went to grandma's house to check on her blood-glucose meter.
- had pasta for lunch (rare & unusual!)
- left for Thu Duc with Co Tu around 2pm (also unusual)
- 6th grade English class at 5:30pm
- 8th grade English class at 7:00pm

that's as exciting as my day would get on the weekend. my weekdays are dead.
