Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

2017 Tuesday -- Accomplishment

Today we drove the 20-minutes into San Luis Obispo to the Staples Store to get our Christmas card printed. The clerk quickly printed a couple of samples for us, aligned the margin with where the card would be folded, and we all agreed the job was ready to be printed.

Seven jobs were in front of ours, so we placed our order and said, "Hey, we'll see you tomorrow to get them when they are copied and folded."

When we returned to the house, it was time to get working on addressing the envelopes. I laid-out our home-made cards from the past four years, all created here at our little coast house, and settled-in for an evening of addressing -- ugh, my address lists are such a scattered mess. We not only need a cook, a housekeeper, a chauffeur, an accountant, a mom, but we also need a secretary. Someday I am going to get organized, but at the moment I'm just going to fake-it and act like I'm prepared to do this task.

The card in the right corner of my photo is one I have received from a person in a Christmas card exchange group that I joined on Facebook. So while I was busy addressing envelopes, I was also having a fun conversation with this new "card" friend named "Joy." She lives in Kentucky and this evening she private messaged me lots of wonderful photos of her decorated home and we just had fun conversing and getting to know one another while I was busy addressing. She painted the design on her card and had the image reproduced and made her own holiday cards (how fun is that!).

Good night from California's Central Coast,
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
