All by myself

This chap was working the locks at Tyrley all by himself with his canal boat which as he told me was his  'home on the water'.  He passed through Market Drayton on the Shropshire Union and is heading for Gnosall for Christmas.  He also told me that he has been living on his boat for 5 months and is absolutely loving it.  After a bit of a chat we wished each other a Merry Christmas and he went on his way.

This morning I met French Friend, her daughter and 2 grandsons in a local Garden Centre and after purchasing a few items we were told there was no room at the Inn in the restaurant for lunch so we moved on to Eccleshall where we got the last table in a lovely Coffee Shop/Bistro. We sat in comfy chairs, had a lovely lunch and exchanged Seasonal gifts and good wishes etc., etc.

A bit more pressie wrapping early pm and then out for a few snifters with more friends late pm .........
