Mother Church of the Divine Holy Spirit

The Igreja Matriz began to be built in 1847 but was completed only in 1875. It is one of the few Catholic temples in the southern region to keep the general lines of its original aspect, both internally and externally, which gives it great historical importance, architectural and artistic. It has hand-carved wooden altars, beautiful stained glass windows and a parlor in carrara marble. It also highlights the large collection of furniture and sacred images, as well as its extensive documentary collection, related in particular to the history of the old religious brotherhoods.
