Top of the Tower

Early start for us today as we were getting the train / tune into London for our appointment with Santa at 9.30am!

I had managed to get tickets via a ballot at work to see Santa at the BT Tower. After seeing the main man, we took a trip up to the 34th floor in the super fast lift, which made our ears pop! Amazing views over London from the top and Ethan enjoyed being in the revolving section of the Tower. It’s 10 years since I was last up there and probably a once in a lifetime opportunity for Ethan as the BT Tower hasn’t been open to members of the public for many years now.

We then walked to hubbies Uncles flat as he lives nearby and had a quick catch up with him.

We had booked lunch at Planet Hollywood but Ethan started feeling ill, refused all food and spent our time there curled up in my lap in tears. Hubbie had to dash out to buy some Calpol for him. Fortunately it kicked in quickly and we were able to carry on to the Cambridge Theatre as we had tickets to see “Matilda the Musical”. It was fantastic - a very talented cast. Ethan had been looking forward to seeing it too, ever since it was featured on Blue Peter. I’m glad it lived up to expectations!

Then back to my friends house near Windsor, for dinner and our 2nd night staying there.
