Sprouts

You can tell the big day is nigh, the market is stocking up on sprouts!

I had an early start today, well early for me, I can't remember the last time I abandoned my cosy bed whilst it was still dark. I had an early appointment at the dentist BEFORE 9am!, postponed from a week or so back. Luckily he didn't find anything too amiss though his reclining chair, and prodding, scraping and poking, wasn't enough to make me drop off again.

After a little break to recover, i.e. a pot of tea in a handy cafe I went for my regular blood test, only to find that that was OK as well - I could have stayed in bed.

This afternoon we faced the madness that is supermarket shopping for Christmas. Considering the shops are open again on Boxing Day some people feel the need to stock up for a long siege. Luckily Morrison's had calmed down a bit by the time we arrived and we were able to buy what we wanted without facing a riot over the potatoes, parsnips and sprouts counter.

I think we can relax into holiday mood now for the next few days, I may even treat myself to a tot or two of the golden nectar.
