Zoo Day...

It was one of Bethany and Ewan's cousin's birthday today and the birthday girl requested a trip to the zoo.

Considering the rain that we had the night before and still woke up to, it wasn't looking good. Thankfully, it stayed dry after mid morning which was just perfect and gave us a brilliant day in which to completely knacker out the kids.

Although it is rather unique to see panda's in our wee country and they are fascinating, the true stars of the day were the rhino's. Edinburgh zoo has two of them and they are very impressive animals. Today they were more or less putting on a show. Playing in their bath, shoving each other about (playfully I assume although a 3000kg animal being playful doesn't look it in our terms) and jogging round a section of their enclosure.
