Me and my boy

Had an awesome time at The Curve watching George's Marvellous Medicine. Absolutely brilliant. The Grandma was hilarious. It's one of Toby's favourite books and he's read it about 3 times so he was very excited!

This morning I had an early ride out on Buddy with Wendy. So busy yacking, we got back to the yard and realised we'd not done any trotting. Even so Buddy had sweat patches on his neck. He's so woolly and his clip has completely grown out. Goodness knows when I'm going to get round to doing that!

Then I went to the riding school and watched Eva have her lesson. She was on Cloud today and they did party games. She even got to canter (being led) but she sat so well, not bouncing about in the saddle. There was a proper pushy mum there today shouting over the top of the instructor at her daughter who didn't want to go fast as she'd had a fall a few months ago when her pony cantered. She kept going on and on at her. Can't help thinking the daughter might just decide to give up if she doesn't back off a bit. Poor girl was sobbing at one point whilst mummy yelled if she did it they could go to Smyths toys and get the biggest toy ever etc etc. Bleurgh.

Finally got my Christmas cake in the oven this evening. How ridiculous! Better late than never I suppose.
