Ripples and Waves
My walking stick is casting interesting early-morning shadows on the table in the hospital cafeteria. I brought Linda there this morning so she can her kidney stone removed (which went just fine). I use this stick daily (sometimes I switch to another) to help get me around. I picked it up in Scotland at an antique shop in the Grassmarket. It's from the late 19th century and is hand turned and almost certainly made of blackthorn wood. Anybody with expertise on old Scottish sticks who may have more info, I'm all ears. I like that something that is around 130 years old can still be useful every day. Oh, the stories this stick could tell!
