Poinsettia

I was expecting a quiet day today, a bit of last minute veg prep and some washing to be done, but was pleasantly surprised by a visit from friend R, whom I haven't seen for months, due to her very busy life style. Not only did she give me this gold glittery poinsettia, but had also found time to make a tiny Christmas cake for me.....she is an expert cook ! See extra.
It's surprises like this, and the thoughtfulness of people that mean so much.
