I think we're ready

At last, sat down with a (huge!) glass of port.

The presents are wrapped, the stockings are filled (after a frantic half hour trying to find the boys presents, which they had found and moved, without realising what they were), and all the decorations are up.  We totally forgot to put mince pies, carrots and whiskey out for Father Christmas, but, erm, there's always next year....

We both woke up feeling very much under the weather, which didn't bode well, the husband went out on an early morning errand to top up on paracetamol and ibruprofen.  Thankfully the boys seem ok, however we have kept ourselves dosed up all day.

We had a lovely morning with my sister and her partner, who came for lunch, or, as we all called it, the start of the great food fest.  This afternoon, we went up to Church for the village carol service.  I spent most of the time outside, running around the grave yard with the boys who found the service a little dull.  They perked up after the service when chocolates were handed around - and we had some mulled wine.  I think we're nearly feeling as if it's Christmas. the husband has put on a Christmas film to really get us into the spirit.
