Briar Mill
Today we went to Rochdale, I've not been for a very long time, and sadly it hasn't improved with age. We took the Metrolink tram from Shaw and we were very impressed by the tram service though.
Today's blip is the Briar Mill, which is next to the tram stop in Shaw and is now a J. D. Williams fulfilment centre. Built in 1906 the mill was a cotton mill until 1988, when it became a warehouse and distribution centre and has remained ever since. If you believe Wikipedia it was designed by Sir Philip Sidney Stott, a local engineer/architect.
