Bed early as electricity gone off

Rather lonely dull day. Settled to watch TV recordings when electricity went off.
Investigated, found no reason so rang elec people who made me repeat tests (stumbling around in dark shed and garage). No evident problem so told not their problem and I should get an electrician - at 20h on Christmas Day.
Hence decision to find candles and go to bed. But reading very difficult with my old eyes!
Will investigate further tomorrow.
