Chaffinch

The big low that's moving over the country has made the trip back home a very wet one.

At least it didn't snow.

Stopped at Maruia Falls for a quick look - they were very full and the raging brown water did not look good in pictures so this wee chaffinch becomes today's blip.

The drive back seemed to take an inordinately long time. I stopped for a cuppa and a wee snooze just before Maruia but that wouldn't have added more than about 45 minutes to the trip. Maybe time has started to drag now that the holidays are all but over and work is looming on Monday :(

It's nice to be home now though- and my boys seem especially pleased to see me!
