Merry Christmas - Mele Kalikimaka

It was impossible to pick 1, 2 or even 3 favorite pics so here are all my favs! Great day, considering we are missing all our family. So that we are not sad, we have planned to do the opposite of what we would normally have done. We spent the night downstairs so that we could wake up beside the tree. The morning found us in bed unwrapping presents and reading instructions, books, magazines & nibbling brunch. We woke to a couple feet of snow so my sweetie had to shovel. Once we had connected with all the family on the west coast, we hopped in the car and came downtown for 2 days. We skated on the ice rink, swam in the half indoor/half outdoor pool, had appies & drinks on the 43rd floor lounge, then off for fabulous Chinese food - followed by a movie in the hotel room then tea & sugar cookies back in the highrise lounge. At midnight we will grab our ice skates & head back outside as there will only be a handful of people on the rink at that time. Just prior to bed we have scotch & a chocolate covered amazing apple to finish off and say goodbye to Christmas 2017.
