Nothing a bit of pledge wouldn't sort
This could in fact be the most flattering view of my wee skip on wheels car. I really should look after it better.
I learned to drive later than most, around 23. I had no reason to 'go do it' because I quite liked being chauffeured everywhere :)
It was only when my X mother-in-law from hell used my car while I had to bus it into work, was what prompted my sudden single minded determination to get it off her learn to drive.
2 lessons a week for 3months later, the 1st thing I did was pick my car up and kangeroo hop drive it away and I only scraped it and ran alongside a parked van at a later date that one time.
I've had crappy cars, an old Nissan with a passenger door that would swing open when cornering, and a cool looking Gti that should have been scrapped, not sold to an unsuspecting me!
I've had beautiful cars, a gorgeous MR2 that I totally loved but let my street cred down when flashing someone out a junction in daylight and I won't even mention being given a row by the police for having the spotlights on because it was way cool when it wasn't foggy.
The land cruiser that I still miss desperately.....
But here is my wee Renault Megane. With its crap colour, dents and scrapes and what could do with a bit of a clean tlc. I'm not complaining though. Because it gets me from A to B.
It may not be the best car in the world, it may not look very pretty.
But it gives me something that is far more important.
