Merry Christmas from Down under!
This is all of us at the hostel for Christmas and we had a very different but good day and they had lots of activities planned. This morning we enjoyed a free cooked breakfast which was followed by a visit from SANTA!! (who got chucked in the pool) with presents. Then in the afternoon we all went down to the beach to play games where thunder and lightening started (again) so returned to the hostel to watch miracle on 34th street on netflix. We Ended Christmas with a international buffet (and a play with Marley the dog who managed to steal a whole chicken leg!). Everyone at the hostel cooked a dish from their home country and brought it to the table to share with everyone else. It was the strangest Christmas dinner I've ever had but delicious! Hugh's cheesy potatoes and my kilted sausages went down a treat. 
It's certainly been a different Christmas this year, our first one away from home and our families and although I missed it, it's been a pretty great alternative to spend with people we've met from all round the world
