Still waiting...

Easily over a meter high not including the closed bud, I still am waiting to discover the colour of the amaryllis flower.
I turn the pot each day to keep the stem straight. Keep it watered. It sits on the back of the loo and has now reached my Mississippi artwork wall. The ceramic plaque is an artist's version of a street in Bay St. Louis where I went to high school some of the buildings, including my high school have been wiped away by time or hurricanes.
I am hoping the flower blooms for New Years. If not it will become a world record holder for the tallest amaryllis tree this year.
The first time I blipped it was on the 18th.
