Seaweed
At Kildonan the crofter was spreading seaweed (as fertiliser), it had attracted many gulls! In amongst them was a juvenile Glaucous Gull, one of the less common gulls here in winter.
I'm guessing the gulls were attracted by lots of insects in the rotting seaweed.
