Scraggy

We went off walking this morning, around the wetlands, along the beach and return.  Really enjoyed the walk, as not too hot; some photography along the way (which I might add was naff).
I've tagged it for widwed but struggling to relate it to D or R - maybe slowly dying and rugged environment. 
I noticed this stoic little cabbage tree, hanging in there against the sea breezes just !!  
I've put a couple of birds in extras - the rather aloof looking Pukeko and the squawky Pied Stilt.  I've still got eight extras to finish up this week.
