Petronas Twin Towers
It was great to sleep in a bed last night. Although we've only been travelling for one day it felt like a lot longer. We set an alarm for 8 am and got up for breakfast. After that we went to walk around town, what a nightmare that is! The pavements aren't great and they're likely to disappear with maintenance work with no alternative provided but It's not about that. It's the business of trying to cross roads. You might find a crossroad with zebra markings and a button to press for the crossing but it seems you might wait for hours before you decide to take your life in your hands and scurry when you sense there's a slight pause before another onslaught in the traffic.
The 'Moped GP' is something to be seen. When the traffic stops for a red light, the mopeds all come forward. Once the lights go green, they're off burning up the road in a cloud of smoke!
We made it to the Petronas Towers and feeling in desperate need of some aircon we took ourselves inside to the shopping mall. I've added an extra of a shot looking from the upper floor down to the Christmas trees on the ground floor. It gives me the impression of being inside an anthill!
My main blip is the view looking up the towers. It's Wednesday already so it's my entry in this week's Wideangle Wednesday challenge hosted by BobsBlips. No seasonal connection of course unless you take account of the christmas trees in the extra!
I've made an album of the shots so far. You'll find them here if you'd like to see them.
