Getting ready...

...for special visitors. Still keen to put out the mince pie, milk and carrot. I’m happy for him to keep doing it...keep the magic alive I say.

In the morning he was a narrator at the Church Nativity. First time in a long while where we haven’t had someone in a costume part. Was pleased his teenage siblings managed to make the service to hear him.

He had his own unique style...intonation and actions raising his performance...I was busy trying to get him to concentrate on the reading but he got through it. Reading is not his forte, as with his brothers he is also dyslexic but I’m glad that he decided that he would get up and read in the Church. He did well as did all the narrators and of course our actors. Always a nice service.

Tonight Es accompanied me to the watchnight service. It was nice to have her company. I’d generally go alone while MrR stays in the house with the Barmy Army. A few years back Aunty Gill had Christmas morning with us and arrived on Christmas Eve and we both went...trying to remember when that was but not getting it just now. Another nice service and a good way to herald Christmas Day.

Grateful for our Church community.
