Relaxing . . .
I love these days between Christmas and New Year. There is plenty of meat to pick at, veg to reheat, a variety of cheeses to nibble and any amount of cake, stollen, dates, mince pies and chocolates to indulge in, so no cooking required, or anything else that really has to be done.
Visitors drift in and out for a drink and a chat, but the pressure of having to have things done on time is long gone. Ollie and I had a couple of walks along to the hens, Mike did more woodwork and painting in the spare room, and then we settled down to finish the jigsaw we started yesterday.
Making the most of the day before Mike goes back to work tomorrow.
