Fiery night

Snow fell across much of Britain today, cold and white. Stansted airport was closed - twice - this morning, for snow clearance and de-icing. There was the usual snow-related mayhem on motorways further north. Fields alongside the Surrey section of the M25 were briefly white, although the road itself was fine. Even so, an airport run to Heathrow that would normally be an hour’s trip took over three and a half hours this morning, due to very heavy traffic, broken down cars and accidents. Tonight, though, another fiery sunset was a warming sight.
