A Christmas Carol
Went to London today to see a musical production of 'A Christmas Carol' by the theatre group Antic Disposition. The show was in the 16th century Middle Temple Hall - a wonderful atmospheric and appropriate setting, being the venue for the first performance of Shakespeare's 'Twelfth Night' in 1602 and later well known to Charles Dickens as he studied law at the Temple and described it in some of his books. The Hall is rich in wood, being panelled all round with painted coats of arms and topped with a fantastic double hammer beam roof and stained glass windows between - see extras.
The production was fantastic - well acted and clever lyrics to the songs from this small company of young actors.
A very enjoyable afternoon out.
