Gale force Friday

Blimey...we nearly slept through breakfast!! That's what happens when you don't set an alarm and drop back to sleep at 7am. Still, must've needed the 10 hours after all the walking yesterday.

Felt like I'd got a hangover though, without the drink! Was quite a nice morning first thing and the weather looked promising. A bit of a shower as we had breakfast but then cleared.

Went off for a walk to the lighthouse at the end of the pier. 3 fishermen were there, casting off. One, a grumpy so and so, mumbled as I asked what he'd caught...'carp fish' it sounded like.

Off for a coffee at Bordeaux to warm us up, then we went to ladies bay for a long and v windy walk along the golf course up to pembroke, then back across the bay at chouet.

The wind was whipping up the waves and some spectacular scenes, in between the showers. We drove to port soif and I clambered down the rocks to get some great shots with my new filter.

Afterwards, drove down the coast to vazon and risked getting swept away by the incoming tide to capture some great wave shots.

Back home, via forest stores, picking up a selection of local cheeses from there.

Our final tennerfest meal was at la piazza, a gorgeous family run Italian. Perfect food and back home amidst the thunder and lightning!

Case packed once again and now bed to rest our weary legs!
