Up up and away

Great nights sleep, preceded by horlicks and the only beer I had Friday night was a ginger beer!! I feel good...da da da da da!!

Up, cuppa and did a few bits before starting to pack the case! Feel very organised but think I'm taking far too much stuff, preparing for the bad weather (mr picks words..there's no such thing as bad weather, but there is bad clothing)!

Li picked us up at 1 and then it's off to east mids. Flight on time. Up up and away, only to 16000ft. We are advised that as we start to decend we'll hit the thick cloud at 6000ft that's been hanging over the channel all day.

Cold and drizzly as we land, but not in the slightest bit bothered! I'm on holiday!!!

Small airport, our cases are 2 and 5 on the luggage thing, picked hire car up and we're off.

Has dinner at the hotel and then went for a drive down to St. Peter port for a wander out in the drizzle.

Back home and an early night, starting to chill and relax
