When Fergus went to Crinan

5.7C with long sunny spells. Cool and clear. NW/NNW wind to 22 mph with gusts to 36 mph.

Apothecary7 had another day off, so we decided to drive up to mid Argyll and go for a walk along the towpath of the Crinan canal. We parked at Bellanoch bridge and walked the 2 miles along to Crinan. It was very quiet along the towpath, just one or two people and we only saw one dog so Fergus got to walk along and explore and generally have a lovely time and had the place all to himself. What we hadn't thought of was that the towpath would be in shade most of the way, so it was that bit colder (around 2C). Looking out from the shade of the towpath to the sunlit hills and sea was lovely.

On the way home we popped in unannounced to visit friends. Luckily they were home, so we had a blether and tea and Fergus had a wander about the house until he decided to settle down.

Fergus managed to whine, whistle and hoot all the way from home to Bellanoch. A good hour plus of hooting.
I am very happy to report that he was quiet on the drive home.
