The aftermath

As is our family tradition, we had the Breakey Leftover Dinner on Boxing Day.

Gosh, all 27 of us ate so well on those Christmas dinner leftovers!

After, the adults chill a bit, and the kids run around playing daft games.

It seems to be a well regarded event on the social calendar. I don't quite know why it works, but maybe it's the winding down from the pressures of Christmas and spending time with great friends.
There was no time for a photo. After everyone had gone - having wonderfully helped wash up - the kids and I sat for a moment, sharing some more laughter and stories from the evening. I think the dog just wanted to go to bed.
