Japanese in London
There are precisely two shops I have to visit, Uniqlo and the paradise that is Wholefoods (High St Kensington branch).
Succumbed to the lunch at Sushi and Robata, on Wholefoods first floor. Good selection for vegetarians.
Enjoyed the Miso soup, Asparagus skewer, Vegetable Tempura and Spinach Dim Sum. Followed by Mochi and Japanese Sakura coffee. Husband who doesn’t like change, actually loved his Japanese Baby Lamb Chops and the Asahi beer. So we are both super happy.
A quick tour of the food hall to buy some goodies and then bus/tube home ASAP to beat the ice and crowds.
Update: Wholefood had 2 sorts of radicchio. Only one shop in Bournemouth sells (rarely fresh) the round one. Have never seen the long one in England. Rang up £6:99 on till for the latter - said no was priced £2:99. She checked, was on wrong shelf, but gave it for £2:99 anyway. My lucky day. (NB Husband stems from the Radicchio region)
