Moon rise and sun set

Seen on the Portmore Loch walk with T. We finished the walk just as it was getting dark. The snow transformed the scenery, although as so often happens, none of my photos did it justice. I've added extra photos of a view across the loch, and also some barbed wire.

I made use of a pair of Yaktrax for the first time which I had bought at the end of the winter of snow seven years ago (when they had come back into stock). They were brilliant! I'm normally very hesitant in snow and icy conditions, but I felt full of confidence.
