Bedraggled

My brother drove over to our house this morning for a visit, since we didn't get to see him on Christmas Day. My sister-in-law had planned on coming as well, but got stuck at work and couldn't get away; she did, however, send along a wonderful assortment of her Christmas cookies and a jar of her homemade applesauce, which was so thoughtful! It started snowing around noon, but unfortunately it's the tiny little ice balls that are falling--the kind that coats the cars (making them harder to scrape off) and causes the roads to be really slippery, so he decided around 3:00 to start heading back home as it takes him a little over an hour when the roads are good, and considerably longer if the roads are bad! I've not left the house today, so this picture is of some of the poor bedraggled leaves left in the planter from the summer. :))
