Somerset House and Fortnum & Mason...

We had a leisurely breakfast, and later lunch, before deciding to take a trip up to London to show C the lights. 

It was raining steadily by the time we parked and the ice skaters at Somerset House looked pretty wet but still happy to be there. Much slush on the rink and I haven't skated since braking my wrist in similar conditions back in 2011. A shame because I used to skate without any fear of falling.....

The shopping festival inside Somerset House was beautiful. Beautiful things to look at and buy. We looked. We also enjoyed a mulled wine or hot chocolate in the bar plus the "free" satsumas and walnuts. This is Gadget Kid appreciating the sparkling wines.....

D battled with the rain and traffic down Regent Street, Hyde Park Corner, Buckingham Palace, The Strand, Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus, Marble Arch, Park Lane....etc and the lights were great to see.  He was wonderful!

Home again and a cheese and grapes with port supper...
