high peak

We took Ma-in-law home to Manchester this morning.  The journey North up the M6 was relatively painless, but the return was looking bad - traffic was backed up on the slip road to the M6 South, so we crossed the moors to join the M1 at Sheffield.

As we reached the summit of High Peak we stopped for a quick blip or two. I didn’t bring my camera so grabbed a shot of Anniemay with my phone (see extra).

Then the sky turned dark and it began to snow.  Anniemay lent me her camera and I grabbed this shot of the clouds rolling in before turning and running back to the car.

Next time we come this way I’ll bring my camera - and suitable clothing.
