Back from the dead.....

A day that would have gone better if I'd stayed in bed !
First off was this calf which was born during the night and had to come in as nearly dead with hypothermia . Tubed it with some milk from the cow and left it to warm up in a pen covered in a pile of old coats. I would have put money on it being dead by lunch time but by tonight it was up on its feet needing fed again ! Fingers crossed it should be OK.
Various other problems including staff no show ,punctures, frozen pipes and a cow with a broken leg that had to be put down. So nature keeps its balance - one in , one out .
