Rib Jig

Joined the chaps in the aircraft workshop for a few hours late afternoon to help glue ribs (for the wings) using these jig templates created from CAD drawings on the computer.

Amazing to think the measurements came from the Rollason factory which was in production at Croydon Airport from the 50s. The aircraft we’re rebuilding was produced in June ‘61.

She’s basically a skeleton of wood at the moment but by the end of January she’ll have her new fabric and instruments installed.
