I cannot discern what lies beneath
Nor understand the agitation of my sleep
In dreams I sense the plundered reef
Where long drowned sailors wallow deep
Whilst whirling hurling winds rend apart
The songs cold mermaids sadly weep
And I find no stillness contains the heart
