Chicken Run

Here we are at Knowes Farm feeding the chickens. The Farm Shop hands out stale bread if you ask and the children love tormenting the hens - long after the bread has run out they'll chase along in hope. A lesson in life really.

Huge Hens.

We stocked up on Pink Fir Apple potatoes, celeriac, fennel, very very dirty carrots, beetroot and vanilla tablet. The tablet didn't last long and the rest is in the oven roasting. Delicious!

A great start to our week off - drizzly outside and some great films to watch. We got Panda Go Panda and The Girl Who Leapt Through Time this morning, along with the new Portico Quartet CD which I blared all day. The children are so tolerant of my music ;)

Lou Reed on 6 Music tonight - should be brilliant.

Oh, and my little sister and her bloke are coming to stay on Katie's birthday in a few weeks so we're all super-excited.
