Fraud
If a cashpoint looks dodgy, it probably is.
About three weeks ago my entire bank account was emptied in an hour and a half by theiving b*****ds. Unfortunately for me and my bank, fortunately for them it was pay day.
I don't know what they bought with their ill-gotten gains, but Argos seemed to be the shop of choice along with topping up four Oyster cards to the maximum and a spree in Boots.
Thanks to the smashing folk at my bank, I had all the money refunded and a new card within 48 hours....all I had to do was sign a declaration to say that I hadn't comitted the fraud myself and send it back, which I duly did.....
....fast forward to today and my card is declined buying a train ticket. Slightly hot and sweaty I ran to check my balance. All the money that had been refunded had been taken back out of the account - get on the phone, horrible sinking feeling.
Thanks to the Royal Mail who had failed to deliver the declaration I was back to square one, with only the loose change in my pocket.
My bank came to the rescue again - I am solvent (sort of, until pay day).
Be warned lovely folk, if the cashpoint swallows your card, don't move away, cancel your card and call the Police.
