Yellowhammer.

According to the Ladybird Book of British Birds which I had as a child, its call sounds like "A little bit of bread and no cheese". Sadly, this one was not feeling very vocal today. Perhaps it was down to the cold.
We took Rona back to Higgins Neuk again but kept to the field due to the layer of slippery snow on the road. I'm not taking chances on icy road and risking busting any more bones. That last one hurt like merry hell!
