Cool Waters

Not exactly cool, because the waters of Testwood Lakes in Hampshire today looked decidedly freezing,
Usually you’ll find the occasional dog walker even this time of year, but this afternoon the lakes and Nature Reserve looked pretty bleak.
There was a blue sky admittedly, but pathways were wet under foot and the car park took the appearance more of a series of deep puddles. The lake itself and adjoining reservoir were not the place to go walking today, however great my initial intentions.
I have to admit to chickening out of exercise and headed for the nearest coffee shop for something much more warming.
And there’s plenty of time to return to the lakes in the Spring!
