Unto us a son is born ....

These are the crib figures at Chester Cathedral.  They have been sculpted by Tony Evans.  He started sculpting as  a late career and has done a number of pieces for the Cathedral.

Ro and I have spent a night in a hotel in Chester.  We spent the day walking around the town and going into shops.  We visited the Cathdral to see their Christmas trees and then were joined this evening by our son and daughter, their other halves and their families: Em, Little Missy and Grandbaby for a meal to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary.  It's actually tomorrow but this was the day they could make it!!  Tomorrow we are babysitting!  We had a lovely Italian meal in Sergio's in Chester.  Grandbaby has taken her first steps alone (Yesterday, when her parents were giving her twiglets!) but was not about to demonstrate her new skill to us tonight!  Both little ones were as good as gold!
