Hooray, it's the mushroom season. Our new house is in the best area locally for wild mushrooms. I have to admit that we didn't pick these. I bought 2.5 kilos from a market stall in Bédarieux.

However we'll be picking delicious ceps from the woods in our vineyards over the next few weeks.

We have my mum staying for a couple of days, so tomorrow morning her job is to clean the mushrooms with a soft brush - then they will all be in one huge delicious pot of mushroom soup.
