Twelve days of Christmas

We called into the parish church today, where they are still in the midst of the Christmas tree festival. This tree represents the 12 days of Christmas and found a sign to explain...
The partridge in a pear tree is Jesus
Two turtle doves are the Old and New Testaments
Three French hens stand for faith hope and love
Four calling birds are the four Gospels
Five gold rings recall the Hebrew Torah (Law) or the Pentateuch, the first five books of the Old Testament
Six geese a laying stand for the six days of creation
Seven swans a swimming represent the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit
Eight maids a milking are the Beatitudes
Nine ladies dancing are the nine fruits of the Holy Spirit
Ten lords a leaping are the Ten Commandments
Eleven pipers piping represent the eleven faithful Apostles
Twelve drummers drumming symbolise the twelve points of doctrine in the Apostles Creed
