Practice Bear.

This is my very first crochet toy.

There are lots of things wrong with it, but that was the purpose of making it.  I wanted to see if I could read a pattern, and yes, I can.  Whether or not I'll be able to read a different pattern, I don't know.

The things wrong with this bear -

I used the wrong needle, so it's bigger than I wanted.

I ran out of the light pink wool, and had to use a different one for the legs.

One arm is slightly longer than the other - I missed counting a row.

I think I've sewn it up inside out.

One ear is wonky.

And I'm not happy with the eyes.

Apart from all that I'm quite pleased with myself.

Now to find a small pattern, and see if I can do it better.
