My Wish(es) for 2018
...that people will be more considerate of our wildlife. Shattered today to see this beautiful creature with a fishhook caught in its beak. In what is probably my final act of kindness for 2017, I called and reported it so that, if resources allow given it's NYE, a ranger will come and remove the hook and let the bird get back to it's normal life.
Please be kind to our wildlife. If you insist on feeding wild birds, make sure you know that you are feeding them a healthy diet (not white bread). If you catch a bird when you're fishing, phone for a ranger. It's not hard. Check for food guidelines on the internet. There are many sites which provide reliable information on what to feed the birds/animals.
... that people will all care for other people too. Let's try and get that message through to our MPs here in Australia who think it's okay to keep people incarcerated on Manus and Nauru. Bring them here.
... that wars will end.
... that greed and conspicuous consumption will stop being the driving force behind the lives of so many.
... that all my friends and family will have wonderful 2018s and that will extend to their friends and families, etc, etc, etc.
Happy New Year
